These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of Onney, including any related features, content, services, and purchases. By downloading, accessing, or using Onney, you agree that you have read, understood, and accepted these Terms, together with any policies referenced in them.
If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use Onney. Your continued use of the app after any update to these Terms will constitute your acceptance of the revised Terms.
Onney may present reminders, summaries, organization views, countdowns, or other app-generated outputs based on information you enter or actions you take. These outputs are provided for convenience and informational purposes only. They are not legal, financial, medical, psychological, or professional advice.
We do not warrant that any result, display, reminder, or status is complete, accurate, current, or error-free. Any reliance you place on app-generated outputs is at your own risk, and you remain responsible for reviewing your own content and decisions.
Onney, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, interfaces, and overall look and feel, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Except for the limited rights expressly granted in these Terms, no ownership rights are transferred to you.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited right to access and use Onney for personal use only. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from any part of the app unless we give you prior written permission or the law otherwise permits it.
We may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the app, our practices, or legal requirements. When we do, we may post the updated version within the app or otherwise make it available to you.
It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically. If you continue using Onney after updated Terms become effective, you will be deemed to have accepted those changes.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Onney and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the app.
This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages and even if a remedy fails of its essential purpose. In jurisdictions that do not allow some of these exclusions, our liability will be limited to the greatest extent permitted by law.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your access to Onney at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms, misused the app, or acted in a way that may harm the service, other users, or our interests. We may also take such action for legal, security, or operational reasons.
You may stop using Onney at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive termination, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law, will remain in effect after termination.
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Onney and its owners, affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, arising from or related to your use of the app.
This includes claims resulting from your violation of these Terms, your infringement or alleged infringement of any third party’s rights, or any content or materials you submit, upload, store, or share through Onney.
You are responsible for the content you create, upload, store, or otherwise make available through Onney, including text, notes, photos, reminders, and any personal information you choose to enter. You represent that you have all necessary rights to provide such content and that your use of it will not violate law or the rights of others.
You are also responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your device, account access, and any data you store locally or otherwise. Because Onney is designed as a personal time-capsule tool, you should review your entries carefully before saving, sharing, or deleting them.
Onney is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee that the app will meet your expectations, be error-free, or operate without interruption, delay, or defects. You use Onney at your own discretion and risk.
Subject to your continued compliance with these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use Onney for your personal, non-commercial purposes only. No other rights are granted by implication or otherwise.
You may not use the app for commercial exploitation, reselling access, or any purpose that is not expressly authorized by these Terms or by applicable law.
You retain ownership of the content you create, enter, upload, or store in Onney. We do not claim ownership over your personal letters, notes, photos, or related materials.
However, to operate the service, you grant us a limited, worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive, and temporary license to host, process, transmit, display, and otherwise handle your content solely as necessary to provide app functionality, support features, maintain security, and comply with legal obligations. This license does not transfer ownership to us.
Onney is provided on an “as available” basis. We do not guarantee that the app, any feature, or any content will always be available, uninterrupted, timely, or free from errors or technical issues.
We may change, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice, including for maintenance, upgrades, security, or business reasons.
You agree not to misuse Onney or engage in any conduct that could harm the app, its users, or third parties. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation: using the service for unlawful purposes; submitting content that is harassing, hateful, abusive, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise harmful; attempting to gain unauthorized access to the app or related systems; reverse engineering, decompiling, or otherwise trying to derive source code except where allowed by law; using bots, scrapers, or automated tools to interfere with the service; distributing malware or malicious code; and infringing intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
You may not manipulate, disrupt, or overload the service, nor may you use Onney in a manner that violates platform rules, applicable laws, or these Terms.
You must be at least 17 years old to use Onney. By using the app, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement under applicable law.
If you are not old enough to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction, or if local law restricts your use of the service, you may only use Onney with the consent and supervision required by law and only to the extent permitted.
Onney is a private, local time-capsule application designed for future letters, sealed reminders, and reflective write-back experiences. It is built around the idea of helping users write to their future selves, set an opening date, choose a sealing theme, organize steps or reminders, add optional photos, and revisit the content later when the letter is opened.
The service centers on a timeline-based workflow that supports sealing, opening, reviewing past entries, adding post-opening reflections, and continuing a “write back” chain for later moments. It also includes features for viewing reminders, archived entries, yearly review statistics, and optional store-based purchases of coins to support future letter creation. The app is intentionally positioned as a calm, private, and locally oriented personal record tool rather than a social network, machine-generated response system, or complex creative platform.
Onney may offer in-app purchases, including coins or similar virtual currency, through Apple’s in-app purchase system. These items are consumable and may be required to unlock or support certain app actions or future letter features.
All purchases are final and non-refundable to the maximum extent permitted by law and Apple’s policies. Virtual currency has no real-world monetary value, cannot be redeemed for cash, and does not constitute property, credit, or a stored value account.
These Terms and any dispute arising from or relating to them, your use of Onney, or any related transaction will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the applicable laws of the jurisdiction governing the service, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Where required by law, any mandatory consumer protection rights will remain unaffected.
